Welcome to “The Scales” presented by Root Daily Fantasy Sports. We are your provider for free WNBA breakdown for each slate.
Phoenix @ Minnesota – 8 P.M.
Minnesota opened at an eight-point favorite versus Phoenix and the line is currently at 7.5. The Lynx boast a respectable 12-2 record at home this season and are cruising into the playoffs with the number one seed in the WNBA.
Phoenix has been struggling as of late. They’re obviously still experiencing hiccups with the return of Brittany Griner to the rotation. Last game, the Mercury were demolished by Connecticut in a 94-66 thrashing.
This game has all the potential to be like the Connecticut game, but I expect the starters to get a quality 30-35 minutes. Taking a chance at the bench will be good for GPPs, with players like Monique Currie and Plenette Pierson.
SCALES TIP ALL THE DAMN WAY TO MINNESOTA
San Antonio @ Los Angeles – 10:30 P.M.
When my favorite team is on the slate versus the team I love to pick apart, you know my motto! “FORWARDS VERSUS SAN ANTONIO!!!” Say it loud and say it proud.
Candace Parker put together a masterful performance against San Antonio in the last meeting, notching a triple-double.
I expect the starters to get busy early in this match-up and get what they need to blow this game open before half-time. Pick up bench performers in this game, primarily in three-point specialists on San Antonio and forwards for Los Angeles.
SCALES STAY TIPPING TO LOS ANGELES
